Welding Challenges to Plan For
- Part geometry: round, thin-walled or vaned parts need a fixture and horn shaped to the part so vibration reaches the joint.
- Material: weldability depends on the plastic grade and any fillers such as glass fibre.
- Cycle time: production volume decides whether a single machine, a dual-station setup or an automated line suits.
Machine Configuration and Tooling
